First of all, rude. Second of all, there are tons of jobs available for fashion design majors! Even if you don’t become a full-time fashion designer, many other roles exist that you might enjoy even more.

- Fashion Designer: This is the role everyone thinks about when majoring in fashion design. Typically, they work closely with brands to create new, original clothing.
- Fashion Buyers select products to sell in stores based on fashion trend analysis and consumer demand. They work with suppliers to negotiate contracts and manage stock levels.
- Textile Designers are specialists in creating 2D patterns for knit, weave, and printed fabrics.
- Fashion Merchandisers focus on the presentation and promotion of clothing and accessories in stores and online to maximize sales.
- Jewellery Designers specialize specifically in creating original jewellery. Designers work with a variety of materials and may sell their designs to fashion companies or create custom pieces.
- Accessory Designer: Similar to fashion designers, accessory designers specialize in designing handbags, belts, scarves, hats, and other accessories.
- Stylists create specific looks for individuals, fashion shoots, and public appearances. They select outfits and accessories from various designers and brands to enhance a client’s image.
- Fashion Journalists write for fashion magazines, websites, and blogs. They cover the latest in fashion trends, events, and news, often attending fashion shows and interviewing designers.
- Fashion Marketers develop campaigns to promote fashion brands and products through various channels, including social media and fashion magazines.
- Fashion Consultants offer advice on fashion and trends. They work with individuals or fashion companies to develop personal or brand style strategies.
