Target is doubling down on the spring street style trends we reviewed last week in its March women’s fashion collection. We’re seeing bright and airy summer linens with hints of pinstripes (hello, nautical!) and a heavy helping of pastel pinks and blues. Denim jackets of all shades and hues are joining the spring scene, often a staple for transitional closets.
’70’s fashion connoisseurs can rejoice: wavy, geometric, and psychedelic-inspired prints are back!
The patterns we anticipate loving the most this spring: warped checkered prints and busy florals. Both patterns bring back the groovy ‘70s that we’ve grown to love, but with colorful pastel twists.
Based on fashion trend news, we expect to see a continuation of the straight and relaxed jean trend, with high-waisted denim competing with mid and low rise (yet again) because of the resurgence of ‘90s inspired fits. Don’t fret, though! Crop tops will still be in high demand this spring and summer.
In regards to footwear, we are still seeing the classic mule have its moment, but with a continuation of the puffy, bubbly braided details we began to see last summer. Sneakers and casual shoes are emphasizing platforms to boost height and daily wearability for most outfits.
In short, this spring and summer season is going to emphasize bright, bold, and cheery colors that are much needed coming out of a dreary winter season. Target is successfully following the fashion trends that people want to wear and feel effortlessly cool come this spring.
