We all thought twee died in 2015, but it is having a revival. The style takes inspiration from the 1960s, but here is how you can update it for 2024:
- For dresses, you can choose from pinafore, shift dresses, or anything with pleats.
- Go for graphic t-shirts or patterned blouses. Pair them with high-waisted shorts or skirts.
- For accessories, think loafers, berets, and tube socks.
Grandma-core
Grandma core truly is anything that you think a grandmother would wear. This style can apply to home decor as well, not just fashion. It’s really a lifestyle choice. This style is all about slow living and paying homage to the past.
To take part in this trend:
- Wear anything vintage or vintage-inspired. Look for gingham, floral, or paisley patterns.
- Incorporate some knitted/crocheted sweaters and scarves into your wardrobe. Bonus points for doing it yourself.
- Carry a handbag large enough for books or a knitting project.
- For shoes try a pair of comfortable loafers.
Lingerie as outerwear
